Job Summary
The Ecommerce Officer will be responsible for supporting the company's eCommerce operations. This role involves managing product listings, processing orders, and assisting with customer inquiries. The Ecommerce Officer will collaborate with the Senior Ecommerce Officer and other departments to ensure that the online store runs smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on customer satisfaction and maximizing online sales.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management:
- Upload and update product listings on the company’s eCommerce platforms.
- Ensure product descriptions, images, prices, and stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the IT and Sales departments to ensure product availability.
Order Processing & Customer Support:
- Process and manage online orders, ensuring timely fulfillment and shipping.
- Address customer inquiries related to product availability, shipping, returns, and exchanges.
- Provide customer support via email, live chat, and phone, ensuring a high level of service.
Website Maintenance & Optimization:
- Collaborate with the IT and Media team to ensure the website is functional, user-friendly, and optimized for conversions.
- Assist in website content management, ensuring that product information is current and accurate.
- Monitor website performance metrics (e.g., load time, user experience) and suggest improvements.
Sales & Marketing Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to create promotional offers, sales campaigns, and seasonal promotions for the eCommerce platform.
- Assist in tracking the performance of online marketing campaigns (e.g., email newsletters, social media ads) and optimizing for better results.
Inventory Management & Reporting:
- Track and report on product sales, inventory levels, and customer feedback.
- Provide weekly or monthly reports to the Ecommerce Manager regarding product performance, sales trends, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that stock levels meet customer demand.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in eCommerce management or online retail.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento) and basic web CMS tools.
- Experience with customer service and order fulfillment processes.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and online marketing principles.
