Job Summary
The Finance & Accounts Officer is responsible for supporting all day-to-day finance and accounting functions of the company. This includes recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate books, supporting project accounting, and ensuring compliance with internal processes and Ghanaian statutory requirements. The role supports the Finance & Accounts Manager and collaborates with all departments to ensure smooth financial operations across the business and during project deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- General Finance & Accounting:
- Record and process daily financial transactions accurately in accounting systems.
- Prepare vouchers, manage petty cash, and maintain financial documentation.
- Assist with bank transactions, reconciliations, and treasury functions.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual simple financial reports (income statements, balance sheets).
- Support the Finance Manager during external and internal audits.
- Assist in statutory compliance: GRA VAT, PAYE, SSNIT filings.
- Ensure proper archiving of financial records and audit documentation.
- Project and Departmental Support:
- Collaborate with project teams (ERP, Web, Software) to track financial progress on client jobs.
- Support billing for client projects, track payments, and report on project profitability.
- Assist other departments during project implementations with finance-related deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of work experience in a finance/accounting role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Odoo, Tally, or Sage) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws and regulatory compliance.
