Job Summary

The IT Officer plays a key role in supporting the company’s IT infrastructure and system operations. This role ensures the smooth running of internal IT systems and provides hands-on technical support for client software installations, upgrades, and maintenance. The IT Officer will work closely with the IT/Media Manager and other departments to troubleshoot technical issues and assist with ongoing projects.

Work Location: Spintex Road, Accra

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

IT Systems Support:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and networks.
  • Assist with the implementation of client projects (Odoo, Vyapar, and other software systems).
  • Monitor system performance and ensure all IT-related issues are resolved promptly.
  • Perform regular system backups and updates.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

  • Provide on-site or remote technical support for both internal staff and clients.
  • Identify and resolve hardware/software issues, including network problems.
  • Escalate complex issues to the IT/Media Manager for resolution.

Client Installation & Maintenance:

  • Support software deployments, including setup and client training (e.g., Odoo ERP, Vyapar, RosarioSIS).
  • Troubleshoot client systems post-installation and ensure all systems run efficiently.
  • Work with the IT/Media Manager to ensure seamless software delivery for clients across various sectors (schools, retail, etc.).

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all IT systems, software, and configurations.
  • Update internal manuals and documents related to systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Report on recurring technical issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Cross-Departmental Support:

  • Assist with IT-related tasks across departments such as HR, Admin, and Sales to facilitate seamless internal operations.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to resolve client technical queries.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support, network management, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, Vyapar) and basic network management tools.
  • Knowledge of system security, backups, and maintenance.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
    • Basic knowledge of programming or scripting (e.g., Python) is a plus

  1. Time taken to resolve IT issues (response and resolution time)
  2. Number of client software installations and successful rollouts
  3. System uptime and network stability
  4. Number of recurring IT issues reported and resolved
  5. Feedback from internal departments and clients on IT support
